About The Role

(please note that this is one year, fixed term contract with the potential to extend depending on department circumstances)

Role summary:

Our Onboarding Teams purpose is to support and guide new applicants through their compliance journey, ensuring that government standards are met and adhered to, as well as providing a seamless Onboarding experience into working with NHSP on the Bank. The Onboarding Training Team Manager will be responsible for the development, creation, scheduling and delivery of New Starter and Tenured staff Inductions and Training, ensuring it is detailed and engaging and giving the teams the knowledge to deliver the highest level of customer service.

Skills/Responsibilities:

Working with the Onboarding Lead and the Training Coordinator, you will deliver a positive, pro-active training strategy that supports our internal teams in their day-to-day role and development, you will help identify where additional content or training needs arise and input into the creation of new material where required as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Onboarding & processes and systems

  • Work closely with the Onboarding Leads and Managers to create accurate and engaging content adding value and input as an SME in processes and systems relating to Onboarding
  • Effectively line manager Training Coordinators through 121’s, objective setting and role development plans to deliver a high performing team.
  • Promote a positive learning culture, through a variety of learning formats
  • Identifying training needs for their teams by managing and maintaining a skills matrix for all teams and encouraging ongoing learning and utilisation of internal training tools.
  • Liaise with management across Onboarding to ensure any system or process changes are reflected in the core training programme and content remains accurate
  • Provide clear and detailed analysis of feedback from those attending training and look to continuously improve the training offering and present findings in senior management meetings and suggest improvement measures
  • Work collaboratively with managers across Onboarding to schedule training, ensuring service levels are minimally impacted

About The Candidate
To be successful in this post you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes; 
  • Have a passion for Training and able to evidence how you have created and delivered training previously in your role
  • Evidence how you demonstrate role model behaviour and have influenced others to follow
  • Have previously managed or contributed to a project which impacted a large audience
  • Have line managed a team or acted as a buddy where you have supported someone with their role development
  • Ability to manage own workload by prioritising and proactively communicate across the teams with progress and concerns
  • Be performing at a high level in your current role with strong attention and seen as an SME in your area
