NHS Professionals (NHSP) run the largest NHS flexible staff bank, placing highly skilled temporary workers in NHS trusts and healthcare organisations to meet short, medium and long-term staffing needs.
 

Uniquely, they are owned by the Department of Health and Social Care and therefore reinvest any surplus they make directly back into the wider healthcare economy. Originally formed in 2001, this multi-award-winning business delivered over 40 million hours of patient care and 5 million shifts, working with 140+ NHS Trusts and healthcare organisations across the country. 

Working in partnership with NHS trust clients, NHSP provides a service that combines deep understanding of the client trust’s temporary and flexible workforce requirements with the reliability, quality and value for money that a fully managed service can offer.

The Opportunity

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to serve as Chair of NHS Professionals and to grow with us and become a leading advocate for our vision.

As the leader of the Board, the new Chair will provide strategic oversight, guidance, and challenge to ensure the organisation delivers exceptional value to the health service, its staff, and patients. This is an opportunity to influence national workforce strategy, champion innovation, and drive excellence in a complex, high-impact environment.

Remuneration

Remuneration is £50,000 per annum and the time commitment is approximately 6 days per month.
