About The Role

Role summary:

NHSP Central Recruitment & Compliance Operations division are looking to recruit a highly motivated, Head of Quality Assurance who has experience of managing Quality Assurance within a healthcare environment and who is passionate in the pursuit of ingenious solutions that mitigate risk.

This role supports the division by implementing a Quality Assurance Strategy which enables continual improvement driven by data analysis and the internal audit framework which overall supports NHSP to achieve its target of achieving Framework and NHS Standards.

As Head of Quality Assurance, you will be working collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of NHSP to ensure achievement of the QA strategy as well as working with our rapidly growing Trust base to ensure delivery of a proactive, seamless implementation service whilst fully abiding to all Home office and NHS Standards; therefore an open, approachable communication style is key with the ability to articulate and achieve effective working relationships.

The position will be responsible for leading the QA function which includes an Audit team of 10, Implementation team of 15, 1x Projects/Process Manager, 1x Data Insights Manager and a Supplier Delivery team of 5 people.

You will ideally have proven experience in overseeing successful support teams with a focus on quality, promotion of best recruitment and compliance practices/training, policies, and standards ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. The role requires a customer focussed, technically minded, methodical and organised candidate with excellent people and leadership skills.

Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing the quality assurance team to achieve their full potential in line with organisational requirements.
  • The development and ownership of the QA strategy with a focus on improving customer and partner perceptions and satisfaction levels
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (operational and client teams) to establish and deliver the organisational quality requirements and ensure service standards met
  • Conducting the Quality change programme across the function, including development and implementation of quality training
  • Ensure effective departmental governance and performance frameworks are in place with regular planned internal audit controls.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure close integration and process alignment to reduce risk and minimise waste.

  • Ensure bank members are fully compliant during their tenure with NHSP
  • Adhere and keep abreast of changing Home Office legislation and NHS guidelines ensuring processes are kept up to date and team’s knowledge is current and relative to their roles.
  • Report and provide insight to Senior management on efficiency, effectiveness and Continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance team whilst working collaboratively with all business areas.
