About The Role

At NHS Professionals, we’re proud to be at the heart of workforce innovation in healthcare. We’re looking for an exceptional leader to join us as our Regional Workforce Service Director for the South East. 

This role is central to how we deliver value to our NHS partners. As the senior NHSP representative in the South East region, you’ll be leading from the front, bringing teams together, shaping strategy, and ensuring our services continue to make a meaningful impact. 

The role offers a unique opportunity to drive impact locally while contributing to our national workforce strategy.

As the senior representative for NHS Professionals in your region, you will be:

  •  Leading high-performing regional teams across all NHSP services
  •  Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders at NHS Trusts and ICSs
  • Developing new business relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Shaping national workforce strategy through regional insight 
  • Owning regional strategy, revenue, and margin delivery
  • Championing a customer-first mindset and ensuring measurable value for our partners

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing existing customer relationships and ensuring KPIs and contractual commitments are met
  • Designing and executing a data-led regional sales strategy to exceed targets
  • Identifying growth opportunities within current accounts
  • Positioning NHSP as a trusted partner through strategic engagement
  • Staying ahead of competitor activity to inform regional planning
  • Contributing to national business planning and shaping future workforce service delivery
  • This role requires regular travel across the NHS England South East region, covering areas such as Oxford, Southampton, Thames Valley, Kent, Hampshire and surrounding areas. Candidates may be based anywhere within this broad footprint, as long as they are able to travel across the region as part of their responsibilities.

About The Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Educated to Master’s level or equivalent senior management experience.
  • Experienced in senior leadership roles within workforce services, healthcare, or related industries.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships.
  • A strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving business growth.
A visionary leader with senior experience in healthcare or workforce services. Someone who thrives on collaboration, drives commercial success, and builds lasting partnerships at the highest level.
