Trust Operations Manager
Hi, I’m James and I’m a Trust Operations Manager at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

I joined NHS Professionals in 2016, as a Trust Services Partner before moving into a Client Relationship Manager role 2 years later. In January 2020, I was promoted to Account Manager, and only a few months later, in October 2020, I became a Trust Operations Manager.

Why did you choose NHS Professionals?

I chose NHS Professionals as I was looking for a role which offered clear career progression. I had worked at my previous employer for 5 years and there were no opportunities to develop further in my career and I felt like my potential was being wasted. From reading the job advert for the role I initially applied for, one of the things that really stood out was that there were progression opportunities for those who excel and that really motivated me to want to be a part of it.

What does your role involve?

I work across two NHS Trusts, managing our on-site Client Relations teams to ensure we deliver on our contracts at an operational day-to-day level. Much of my time is spent managing and supporting my team and troubleshooting any queries or issues that arise. A key part of my role is engaging with stakeholders in the Trust, such as our designated Trust Lead or Heads of Nursing to ensure that we are providing the service that they need. I also help to identify any potential new areas where we can support the Trust such as new staff groups which also helps to grow NHS Professionals as a business.

What do you love most about working at NHS Professionals?

My role is extremely varied, and no day is the same, which always make it interesting!

Although the business has grown considerably in size over the last few years, we continue to have a good network of support which allows me to carry out my role to the best of my ability and support our partner NHS Trusts.

I work with some amazing people who are truly passionate about supporting our NHS and I am proud to be a part of what we do.
