About The Role

NHS Professionals is looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our team in the recruitment and placement of registered Doctors to meet demand within our hospital client base.

The post holder is responsible for proactively matching and placing registered Doctors within available placements at client Trusts. You will do this by providing an efficient, professional and customer focused recruitment and placement service to locum doctors and client Trusts. You will also be responsible for managing the bank of Doctors allocated to its clients and those part of our wider national bank.

In addition to placement related activity, the post holder will work collaboratively with the wider Doctors Team and build productive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, bank members and clients to deliver an outstanding service. 

This is a hybrid working role and you will be required to attend one of our offices twice a week. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Engaging and working closely with registered Doctors to understand their availability and preferences on areas of work.
  • Matching registered Doctors with available assignments within our client Trusts ensuring they meet the skills and experience required.
  • Support the Compliance Team with the engagement of registered Doctors/pipeline candidates to complete outstanding compliance tasks.
  • Ensuring that applicants who join the doctor’s bank are managed professionally, effectively, efficiently and in keeping with NHS Professionals employment and compliance requirements and any additional checks required for the specific client Trust placements.
  • Visiting Client and Non-Client Trusts may be required to support with the provision of Doctors Direct Services and engagement with Doctors.
  • Provide regular reporting to Team Managers on recruitment and placement activity.
  • Ensure working relationships are established and maintained with internal stakeholders, registered Doctors/candidates and client trusts.
 
About The Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience of working in a demanding customer focused and/or sales environment
  • Be proficient with use of Microsoft Office Applications including excel, word, PowerPoint and database applications. 
  • Have experience of dealing with high volume internal and external “customer” enquiries over the telephone, in writing and face-to-face.
  • Have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships within a busy team as well as internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have excellent telephone manner to communicate with a broad range of people.
  • Be able to demonstrable customer care experience
  • Have the ability to prioritize within own workload appropriately with ability to approach work in a methodical manner and to deadlines.
