The NHS Professionals Academy provides high-quality, cost-effective education and training solutions for NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Systems. As part of this work, you will support the NHSP Workforce and Development Team by leading the delivery of a range of clinical training programmes.

This role covers Nottingham, Sheffield, Dewsbury and Chesterfield, and will require regular travel to deliver training on client sites. Due to the locations and the equipment required to facilitate training, use of your own vehicle is essential. There may also be occasional national travel when required.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of dedicated clinical educators who are committed to delivering high-quality training and continually improving the way we support the development of clinical staff.

Location: Nottingham and travel across Sheffield, Dewsbury and Chesterfield (with occasional national travel as required)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will join the Clinical Education Team at the NHSP Academy. In this role, the Clinical Educator is responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating a portfolio of programmes that support the development of healthcare staff. These programmes include Statutory and Mandatory Training, New to Care pathways such as the Care Certificate, on-placement pastoral support, and clinical skills development.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for training, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work creatively and innovatively to support learning and development in healthcare.

A DBS check is required for this role due to attendance on site.

About The Candidate

To be successful you must demonstrate and be comfortable with the following;
 
  • To deputise in the absence of the Education Leads.
  • Be NMC registered or an AHP
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior clinical educator.
  • Design and continuously improve and adapt all NHSP training programmes to meet changing requirements of the NMC & other accrediting organisations.
  • Facilitate all aspects of MaST.
  • Evaluate training programme by conducting regular reviews and feedback from participants and client trusts
  • Develop lesson plans and educational material based on best evidence.
  • Support learners in practice and identify opportunities and educational needs for their ongoing development.
  • Promote critical thinking among learners and show commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical and educational trends in healthcare training, and Mandatory Statutory training.
  • Support other education programme delivery within the Academy
  • Access to own vehicle and be comfortable with regular regional travel
