Role summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce System Administrator to join our growing Salesforce team at NHS Professionals

As part of our internal Salesforce Centre of Excellence, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing a business-critical platform used across the organisation. Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners, you'll help ensure Salesforce remains secure, reliable and aligned to business needs while supporting the delivery of new features and continuous improvements. The role reports to the Salesforce System Manager and is responsible for the ongoing administration, support and optimisation of the Salesforce platform.

Skills/Responsibilities:

Our Salesforce team is responsible for the support, governance, security and continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform. We work closely with teams across NHS Professionals to deliver solutions that improve user experience, increase efficiency and support business growth.

In this role you will:

  • Administer and support the Salesforce platform, including user management, configuration and day-to-day system maintenance.
  • Work with business teams to understand requirements and help deliver improvements that add value to the organisation.
  • Support Salesforce releases, testing activities, data quality initiatives and platform governance processes. 
  • Investigate and resolve issues, provide user support and help maintain a stable, secure and high-performing platform.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and delivery partners to support the ongoing evolution of Salesforce across NHS Professionals.


About The Candidate

 To be successful in this post you will need to:
  • Hold a Salesforce Administrator certification.  Practical experience in a Salesforce Admin capacity in a business environment will be considered.
  • Have hands-on experience administering Salesforce, including user management, permissions, reporting, configuration and supporting business users.
  • Be a confident problem solver with strong attention to detail, capable of investigating issues, maintaining data quality and helping deliver platform improvements. 
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into practical Salesforce solutions.
  • Be organised and able to manage multiple priorities, supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to projects, releases and continuous improvement activities.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and be passionate about delivering excellent service and outcomes for users across the organisation.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and experience working within structured Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request management processes.
