About The Role

Are you skilled in navigating client contracts and managing commercial opportunities and risks?

We're looking for a Commercial Manager to collaborate with our Client Account Management and Client Services teams, ensuring the effective delivery and compliance of our client contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure service delivery meets the correct standards, performance, and cost, providing clarity on all commercial dependencies and obligations.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant contracts.
  • Foster a strong interface between the business units and the commercial team, enhancing understanding and interaction.
  • Manage all contract changes, adhering to change management processes and controlling commercial consequences.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, contributing to the risk management plan and escalating significant risks.
  • Identify and capitalise on commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of and contribute to contingency plans for critical contracts.
  • Support commercial management and contract negotiations with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with public procurement law and commercial best practices.
  • Provide effective commercial support across the business, including framework obligations and contract queries.
  • Act as the customer point of contact for contractual and commercial matters, developing close working relationships with customers.
About The Candidate

To Be Successful, You Need to Demonstrate:

  • Experience in commercial management within the public or private sector.
  • Good understanding of the UK public sector procurement rules.
  • Degree educated or appropriate levels of experience.
  • Experience in public or private sector procurements.
  • Communication and People Skills:
  • Building Relationships: Confident in managing strategic relationships, including leading meetings and negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to work with various people.
  • Professional honesty and integrity in dealing with colleagues and clients

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of office and remote workdays. The role may require national travel.
