About The Role

Role Summary:

NHS Professionals is looking for a Systems Support Analyst to join our team, on a 12 month fixed term contract, to provide systems support to the maintenance of our financial and operational information systems.   The Systems Support Analyst role provides day to day management and support of Implementation projects as well as delivering an information systems advisory service to our managers, staff, bank members, clients, and external agencies through Support Desk requests.

Please note - This role is predominately working from home, but there may be a need for you to come to our offices in Hemel Hempstead occasionally. 
 

Skills/responsibilities:

As a Systems Support Analyst you will:

  • Provide day to day management and support of allocated Implementation, Auto Registration and Pay Rate projects.
  • Maintain NHS Professionals' financial and operational information systems in accordance with mass data uploads of both Flexible Worker and Trust data.
  • Be the single point of contact for assigned projects and attend internal catch up and data review meetings.
  • Provision of a range of data related services to Client Trusts, flexible workers and agencies.
  • Extract multiple types of data from SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and provide analysis of this data (compared with the original upload)
  • Provide highly complex data to our Client Relationship Teams and Project Managers
  • Perform/co-ordinate regression testing of data and adjust project plans accordingly
  • Supervise data review meetings and upload of data on to NHS Professionals' information systems.
  • Support a team of Systems Support Administrators and coordinate the completion of work to meet SLAs


About The Candidate

The successful candidate:

  • Has experience in a Systems Support or data management role working with IT databases
  • Demonstrates experience of 1st line support on IT or customer services issues 
  • Is adept at fault finding and error reporting of issues on complex information systems
  • Has advanced, expert user knowledge of MS office applications and intermediate knowledge of MS and Oracle databases
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of recruitment/HR processes 
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and can effectively communicate complex, detailed information requiring persuasive, motivational and training skills, sometimes in a hostile or highly emotive environment
  • Brings a track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Approaches problems in a methodical manner, planning and organising a range of complex activities and projects.
  • Is a fast learner
  • Effectively prioritises workload to meet SLAs
