We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Implementation to take the lead in managing a diverse portfolio of implementation projects. In this pivotal role, you’ll not only guide project delivery but also shape methodologies, drive organisational change, and champion best practices. You’ll be the visible leader of a high-performing team, empowering them to grow professionally and ensuring every project aligns with our evolving service offerings.

Key Details:

Hours: 37.5 Monday-Friday
Location: Although this role allows for remote working from anywhere within the UK, your contractual base will be your nearest office location, either Hemel Hempstead, London or Leeds. You’ll will need to attend the office occasionally for team meetings or specific activities in addition to some client meetings. 
Salary: £67,000 per annum

You'll be responsible for:
 
  • Leading implementation project teams, coordinating all implementation activities and ensuring seamless project delivery
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure they’re resourced and ready to support service implementation
  • Preparing and managing departmental and project budgets, keeping spending aligned with corporate requirements
  • Providing expert-level support on implementation methods and project management, both internally and to clients
  • Supporting business development efforts, including preparing and presenting implementation plans for tenders
  • Ensuring effective handovers from implementation to client relationship teams for smooth ongoing service management
  • Developing team members’ professional competence, overseeing recruitment, and aligning pay and benefits to market standards
  • Driving innovation by seeking new and improved ways of working, contributing to strategic and operational development
About The Candidate
To be successful, you'll need to have:
 
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Prince2 practitioner level or equivalent APMG qualification or extensive experience of applying Prince2 in a range of organisations and projects
  • Extensive senior managerial experience (including NHS experience) in a large and complex multi-disciplinary organisation
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and implementing complex organisational change
  • Experience of leading complex projects with a track record of achieving objectives
  • Direct line manager experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills with evidence of managing multiple teams
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale implementation projects
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture vision and day-to-day execution
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working at senior executive level
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget-setting and expenditure control
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
