About The Role

Are you looking for a challenging role where you can add strategic value?

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Business Analyst to join the Enterprise Change function at NHS Professionals (NHSP). This is a senior, high‑impact leadership role designed for someone who can shape meaningful change across NHSP’s most strategic programmes.

Operating at the intersection of people, process, and technology, you will lead complex analytical work that underpins major transformation initiatives across operational and digital domains. You will bring clarity to ambiguity, ensure problems are correctly understood, and translate business needs into solutions that deliver measurable organisational value.

Beyond your analytical expertise, you will lead, develop, and mentor a team of Business Analysts, setting standards of excellence, strengthening NHSP’s analytical capability, and fostering a culture that embraces challenge, innovation, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone who is not just a BA, but a strategic thinker, trusted advisor, and influential leader capable of driving change at scale across a dynamic organisation.

 What You’ll Lead & Deliver

  • End‑to‑end analysis of major transformation initiatives across technology, operations, workforce, and service delivery.
  • Facilitated workshops and discovery activities to uncover, validate, and constructively challenge business problems and opportunities.
  • High‑quality analytical artefacts including process maps, TOMs, requirements packs, gap analyses, options appraisals, and impact assessments.
  • Translation of complex business needs into clear functional and non‑functional requirements.
  • Traceability of requirements through to delivery, ensuring solutions meet strategic and operational needs.
  • Support for testing, business readiness, and transition into BAU.
  • Contribution to benefits tracking, measurement, and realisation.
  • Consistent application of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies depending on programme needs.
  • Collaboration with Project Managers, Programme Managers, Product Owners, SMEs, suppliers, and other multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Strong governance, documentation, and quality assurance across all deliverables.

Why Join NHSP?

At NHSP, your work will directly support improvements to how the NHS delivers care. You’ll contribute to meaningful transformation at scale, influence strategic decisions, and develop the analytical capability of a growing team.

If you’re driven by purpose, motivated by complex challenges, and passionate about leading analytical excellence—this is the role for you.
