NHS Professionals has an exciting role available for an Employee Services Administrator to join the Employee Services team, located in Hemel Hempstead, but with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week. The role will be varied, with a mixture of onboarding duties and some payroll related tasks (previous experience in payroll is not essential as the systems can be taught)
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £22,500 per annum (with some flexibility based on experience)
Contract: Fixed Term (March 2026)
Reporting into the Senior HR Advisor, the successful candidate will ideally have an interest in Human Resources, but most importantly will have the attitude to provide a compelling employee journey for new employees joining NHS Professionals.
Skills/Responsibilities:
You will be joining a dedicated Employee Services Team, with the purpose to provide effective and efficient confidential, comprehensive administrative support to the corporate functions of the business.
The main responsibilities are
- Onboarding new hires and leavers processes and associated admin
- Manage the support desk inbox; responding to queries as appropriate or escalating where needed
- Supporting the payroll team with confidential HR and pay related queries
- Respond to telephone, voicemail and email messages in a timely manner
- HR system management and data base reporting
- Employee relations administration
- Manage HR communications and escalate where appropriate to line managers
- Onboarding new joiners from offer stage through to payroll ensuring candidate experience is prioritised and providing regular communication with candidates and hiring managers
- Ensures the correct authorisation has been obtained for all pay requests in line with operational procedures
- Process DBS applications for candidates as required
- Assist in providing advice and guidance on standard HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment to managers and employees
